So much to tell, so little time. I really should be packing right now...so this will be quick.
Banana finished Dance Intensive. She had a blast! 5-6 hours a day for two weeks, and not one word of complaint. It was also the first time she has ever had a male teacher...all her ballet teachers were men! We are waiting now to hear about Company auditions. Click here
to see a picture of her on the MMB website. It's the third picture down.
Kat had a great week at her "last children's camp". We went to visit on Thursday night. We ate dinner with her (well, Kearsdad and I ate with her. Banana ate with LouLou and the Thinker...Banana did everything with LouLou and the Thinker).
Then we stayed for the awesome worship time and the really funny talent show. Our visit was a great success according to Junebug and BB and SouthernUtahGirl. They were extremely happy to see us. Or maybe it was just the ice cream we smuggled in to them. Here are Kat and friends...
Sammy is growing by leaps and bounds. At latest estimate he is about 16 inches tall and 25 inches long. We don't know how much he weighs anymore...he is too big for one of the girls to stand on the scale and hold! I'll let you know next time we go to the vet (next week). He starts puppy school in 2 weeks. He is still as sweet as ever.
So that's it for now. Kat and Banana and I leave tomorrow to spend the week on the Middle School Mission Trip. So I will be back next weekend. Don't have too much fun without me!

Happy Father's Day to the Greatest Dad In the World!
This is my public tribute to Kearsdad...
You are truly the greatest dad and husband. You daily demonstrate to us what Jesus' love looks like, and you make that real in our lives. None of us will ever have to wonder if you love us. Our girls will never have to wonder if you are interested in their lives. You give us joy and laughter and comfort. Nothing comes before us, and we know that. Nothing, that is, besides Jesus.
Thank you! I love you! Happy Father's Day.

One Down...3 To Go...
Weeks that is. VBS is essentially over...and after tonight's vbs musical it will be officially over. I don't know why vbs wears me out like it does. It isn't like I sit around eating chocolates and watching Oprah the rest of the year. I am busy every day. But vbs week just exhausts me. This year I even had a relatively cushy job. All my teenagers were where they were supposed to be, when they were supposed to be there, doing what they were supposed to be doing. I was pretty proud of them. Maybe it's because I am not used to being up so early in the morning on a daily basis...something Junebug thinks is very funny. She reminded me that she is up and out that early every day. I say more power to her.
But the month isn't over. Tomorrow, Banana starts Dance Intensive...that is the official name...it is 2 weeks of, you guessed it, intensive dancing! Her schedule looks like enough to make my vbs fatigue look like nothing. She will go for 5 hours a day, 5 days a week, for two weeks. She is very excited, though. Dancing all day sounds great to her. I would love to be able to watch...I don't know if I will get to see any of it. She will even do an hour of Pilates every day! And at the end of the first week, she will audition for Company. Looks like we are into this dance thing for the long haul.
Next weekend, Kat has a horse show. I have already described the show weekend in previous posts, so if you have been reading you know what that involves. Primarily...getting up EARLY...can you tell I have a thing about getting up early?
During the second week of Dance Intensive, Kat will go to camp with Junebug and Funandone and SouthernUtahGirl and BB. She is looking forward to her last year of Children's Camp...did I just say that? Oh my! Where did the time go???? She is especially hoping not to get sick this year. Last year she got strep and I had to go get her mid-week. She was really bummed! We are counting on a healthy, fun week this year!
Finally, week 4 is Middle School Mission Trip. Kat and Banana will go with me. We won't be going far...just downtown. But we will stay all week. It was a BLAST last year. We are all looking forward to it. (Note...the high school kids and accompanying adults left for their trip yesterday. I didn't get to go this year. If you have read this far, you know why.) I am looking forward to quality time with our 7th and 8th graders, and quality activities like Invisible Football and Murder.
I will have lots more to write about in the next few weeks...assuming I can find time to do any of it!

You Know Who You Are
As of a result of the quiz I posted here earlier this week, I am now aware that there are people who have been visiting my blog that I didn't know about. The reason I didn't know about you is because you have NEVER commented! I know who you are now, thanks to the cool technology that emails me when people take that quiz. You know who you are...I want you to come out of hiding and join the fun!
I'll be looking for you...
I'll be looking for you...

This Could Be Interesting
Tonight we are having 30 something people at our house. We are entertaining the leadership from our ministry (and some of their kids). That is not the interesting part. The interesting part is that we are doing it with a neurotic 14 year old Pomeranian who lives in the house, and an 11 week old uncoordinated friendly puppy who is usually in the yard. THAT could be interesting! With the puppy in the yard, I don't have many worries about the little dog running out of the house...with small children here, I don't even have many worries about her coming out of our bedroom. I hope that is where she will stay. I am worried about the clumsy puppy coming in the house though. People will be in and out, and so will the puppy if he has his way. And people will be eating inside and out. So the puppy will probably end up spending some time in his kennel in the garage, out of high traffic areas, away from the food and away from the small neurotic dog who still doesn't like him. We shall see...I'll keep you informed.
UPDATE: The party is over and everyone has gone home. My house is still standing. The puppy behaved beautifully (he spent a good bit of time in his kennel, but was a sweetheart). The neurotic dog was appropriately neurotic. For a long time she stayed in the backyard in the far corner. That was fine till it started to rain. She tried to run out the front door once. She walked around whining and pacing. Then she started shaking. She didn't like being in the room with all the people, but she wouldn't stay in my bedroom either. I finally put her in there and shut the door and ignored her whining.
And the rain...yes, it rained. About an hour before the party was to begin, after all the tables were set up outside, it sprinkled. It stopped right before everyone arrived, we dried the tables and chairs and everyone managed to eat. Then the bottom fell out! We had to get both dogs in and in their separate places. Then all the kids had to come INSIDE. They all went to the playroom and lucky for us Hanna Montana was on!! Thank goodness for Hannah Montana! Everyone seemed to have a good time, we had a sweet prayer time, and now everyone is gone. The puppy in having his in the house visit time before bed, and the neurotic dog is having her outside take care of business time (the rain has stopped for now). Hopefully everyone will have a good night's sleep.
